A COMPLETE WATER QUALITY MONITORING AND BIOCIDE TREATMENT SERVICE FOR INDUSTRY
Whitewater Technologies Ltd specialises in microbiological monitoring in industrial water systems – for example, cooling towers, recycling process waters, specialist process waters and closed water systems – reducing costs and improving environmental performance by minimising effluent.
The business is owned and managed by Dr Pamela Simpson M.W.M. Soc., a Chartered Biologist with 25 years’ experience in microbial control and biocide applications. She spent several years working for major international chemical companies, solving customers’ microbiological problems using a wide range of specialty biocides. Her PhD was sponsored by International Paints, and the compounds and techniques studied have been developed into innovative products to replace environmentally harmful biocides.
Dr Simpson is a Chartered Biologist of the Society of Biology, a Professional Member of the Institute of Corrosion and the Chair of its Water Treatment Group. She has been a full member of the Water Management Society since 2009 and is currently involved in the development and launch of the Closed Systems Control Association (CSCA). She was on the editorial panel for BSRIA BG50-2013, the standard for closed heating/cooling systems. She is a committee member of the IBBS and is involved in organising conferences for global audiences on all aspects of biodeterioration and biodegredation. In addition, she is a founding partner of Parsloe Simpson, a consortium specialising in pre-commissioning water treatment consultancy for the construction and building services sector.
